As an international student in Australia, I have personally faced my fair share of mental health challenges. I vividly remember the struggle I had in asking for help, and for the longest time, I felt like it was an impossible task. In fact, it took me a whole year to admit to myself that I was battling depression.
Driven by my own experiences, I embarked on this creative journey to convey a powerful message: it is absolutely okay to ask for help. It is okay to not feel okay. And most importantly, it is okay to admit that you have a problem. We all face our own mental health struggles at some point in life—while the severity may vary, the common thread is that we all go through it. And if you find yourself in the midst of a struggle right now, I want to assure you that it will get better soon.
"One Last Chance" serves as a reminder that reaching out for support can be transformative. It encourages open dialogue, compassion, and understanding. Through this film, I aspire to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and create a space where individuals feel safe to share their experiences without judgment.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the incredible cast and crew who poured their talent, dedication, and passion into this project. Their unwavering commitment made this film come to life in ways I couldn't have imagined.
Let's support one another, uplift those who need it, and build a community that embraces empathy and kindness. Together, we can make a difference.
